We’ve created Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp right in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes, surrounded by waves of golden sand as far as the eye can see. Nestled in an intimate section of the desert, the camp is thoughtfully laid out to offer both convivial shared spaces and absolute privacy. The upper part of the camp welcomes daytime guests for lunch and moments of relaxation, while the lower bivouac area is reserved for those staying overnight, ensuring calm, comfort, and star-filled nights.
Decoration
The aesthetic of Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp is a tribute to Saharan life and Berber culture. Inspired by the great caravans that once crossed these dunes, the decor blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary refinement.
Handwoven carpets, carved wooden pieces, pottery, and metalwork are sourced from local artisans in the region. Natural materials like wood, wool, leather, and stone take center stage, echoing the surrounding landscape. Warm sand tones, deep browns, and touches of desert red and gold create a soft, enveloping atmosphere that mirrors the colors of the dunes at sunrise and sunset.
